Digital voice features app? / readable Voicemail?

I'm a current Xfinity customer and I'm having FiOS installed next week. I'm wondering if FiOS has the same digital voice features as Xfinity:

When you get a voicemail, can you set it up to be received as a readable message to your email account?

Is there an iPhone app to check incoming calls and to hear voicemails? If so, does that app show missed, received, and placed calls?

Just want to see what I'm getting myself into. 🙂

Yes a readable message can be sent by email.

Not sure if there is any iphone app (don't have Iphone)  and haven't heard of an app covering this, although there are other Iphone apps for Verizon to control your stb's, etc.

Please elaborate on how to set this up.

I was able to do this with Vonage, but I cannot find this setting for FiOS Digital Voice.  I.e., I get email indicating that a voicemail has been received, and the email contains an attached audio file with the message.  However I do not get a transcribed version of the message (which is what I think the OP was looking for).  Just rechecked and cannot find this option.  Thanks.
