I have discontinued my landline service. When it shows VM message on my phone, and I select VM, it dials Verizon's number. How do I remove it?
If you've disconnected your landline service, try removing the phones from the line and any power from the phones for about 10 minutes then plug everything back in. That should clear the message waiting indicator out of the phones. At the risk of soundling like a complete jerk (trust me, I'm not), if one of the phones has an answering machine built in, you might want to check that. If that's the casae, believe me it happens more than you think.
