I have Verizon's one-point voice mail service -- one phone line, 2 different numbers with 2 distinct ring patterns. I have specified the double rings for my HP fax machine and the single ring for my phone calls. I can receive a fax, but when a phone call comes in the fax picks it up. Does anyone have a solution?
I have the same set up. I had to go into the manual of my fax and be sure to tell it to respond to the double ring and not the single ring. It was buried in the fax set up features of my manual. It was a bit tricky. But, I finally got it. I have a brother fax.
