I have a basic service but never use it and its nearly $25.00 without Tax a month for NOTHING...I NEVER make a call
Voice Services $24.54
I Dont / Wont answer incoming and never make a call outgoing(My choice there is no-one I know in the US that has my home Number or would ring it - therefore all calls are wrong numbers or Sales calls)....
I uses Skype for international or my Cell for Local and Long Distance....So the Question is...If I cancel the phone service will this affect the DSL Service I have from Verizon also.
The phone is a hang over from when I first arrived here and had Dial up internet...now I have DSL Do I still need a phone service

Verizon does offer a Dry Loop (No Phone Number) DSL Service in some area of the country. You need to contact them to see if you are eligible for a Dry Loop DSL Connection.

I am searching to find this very answer for myself. Would sure love to find out.
We were without landline service service for two weeks before Verizon fixed it,
but during that time the dsl internet connection continued to work just fine.
I would love to be able to drop the phone...
