How to identify & block number that called my land line (digital)?

How can I:

1. Identify a phone number that called me earlier today? it's a spammy caller that keeps calling despite my use of Nomorobo.

2. Block that number so it no longer rings even once.

I know there's a way to do this. I've done it before. However, I can't find the right page on the Verizon website.

I am sick of robo callers.

From Verizon's site, at least for FIOS users, you can pull up callers and SOMETIMES add a block for that caller.  Doesn't always work, esp. for spammers that vary their caller info.
