I was reviewing and paying my Verizon bill this morning and I am not disputing the charges.
My question is: On my call log, there are outgoing calls from my landline listed for 3 different phone numbers that I never called. And there is one in particular that comes up repeatedly at all of these various times when I was at work. How can I possibly call from my landline phone when I am at work?
This doesn't affect the dollar amount of my bill since I have unlimited calling but this is very strange.
So I got on a live chat with a CSR who transferred me to a tech support person who was contacting his support team about this and then the session timed out.
Then later I got this call from a company listed as "Progressive". It was very hard to understand the voice mail message left because the tone was very low and it wasn't clear. It said something about these charges being removed. But I never asked to have the amount of my bill reduced. I just want to know why there are these outgoing calls on my call log that I never made and when I am the only person who has access to this account. I am the only person who can ever call anyone from that landline.
Meanwhile, all of these calls that I never made are still listed on my call log.
Are my phone lines being crossed with someone else's?
What's going on and how do we resolve this? Do I get on live chat again? It's very strange.
I have had the same problem on my bill. I guess it is possible that the lines get crossed. Hope we find out what is going on.
At least I'm not the only one who has had this problem. I'm glad that at least I have the unlimited calling Freedom Plan so I always pay the same amount per month for my bundled services. I'll always remember the days when we got billed by the amount of time spent on the phone and billed even more if the call was long distance. If I'm not the only one, it sounds like either a problem with the lines getting crossed or a system problem.
As long as the amount of my bill is correct (which it is), it's not a big issue.
My bill is always the same also! However, I still wonder how this can happen.
Yes, it's very strange.
Can somebody please respond to this post with an answer or a solution to the problem? It's concerning that there are phone numbers on my call log that I never called in the first place. I have almost no time at all to call 800-VERIZON and I am very hesitant to call back this phone number from "Progressive".
I'm experiencing the same issue. I just became a customer this month and my first bill included multiple calls to an unfamiliar number. As "questioning" mentioned, the calls are made at times when they are not home and I have experienced the same exact thing. This is very unsettling as it makes you think you could be sharing a party line. I plan to find out why this is happening, wish me luck.
We have started to experience the same issue over the last few months. We are not making these calls on our landline but nevertheless they are listed on outgoing call log. Most recent were 4 calls in one day to {edited for privacy}. We never made these calls. Looks like some sort of toll-free number, some kind of phishing attempt?
