IP Phone

Hi,

I have a FiOS Gateway router, and looking for some advice.

My employer gave me an IP Phone (Mitel 5340e IP Phone) to remote in when weather is inclement.  I have plugged the phone via a LAN into a LAN port on the router, but nothing is happening. 

Can I connect this IP phone directly into the Gateway router, or do I need to do something to the router or do i need an ethernet power adapter?

I have given a set of instructions for your device. Normally you need an adapter to connect to the service, where upon you then connect the phone to be able to use.

with my VoIP service I have a linksys box that connects to my network and the service is connected through the Linksys to the internet and I use my own phones.
