Importing music to Samsung Galaxy S III

I am trying to import music selections from iTunes in my iMac. I have connected the phone to the iMac, opened Kies which recognizes the phone. I click and drag a music number from iTunes to the music page in Library but it does not stick, pops back to iTunes. What am I doing wrong?
