Incoming calls directed to another number

I have now had three people tell me that when they dial my Verizon Fios phone number they are connected to

a doctor's office.  Once that happens, repeated dialing produces the same results.  At other times connections

are fine.  Strangely, I know the doctor that is contacted; the area code is the same, the number very

different.  Help!  I did not receive an important call because of this.
