We had a pretty big rain storm in Philly this morning (around 8:30 a.m.). Since then, my home phone (landline) doesn't have a dial tone. Can't get through to a person at Verizon. Had to place a repair call through the automated system. The repair folks won't be out to our home until Friday, 7/16 (today is 7/13). Obviously internet service still good.
Anybody know what's up?
Is your phone service coming over FiOS? If so and your internet is working then the problem is likely not "in the house". Try resetting anything "verizon" related with a power cycle -- maybe you had a power blip that confused something along the way. To reset the ONT, disconnect the backup battery and then pull the power plug for 15 seconds.
