Is there a charge for cancelling phone service?

My Digital Voice phone service is bundled in my FIOS triple-play agreement and it has another 18 mos. to go.  

Will Verizon hot me with some sort of Early Termination Fee if I cancel my Digital Voice service but keep TV and Internet?

Too many variables.  Depends on exact details of your agreement.  Some may only require certain things to be continued, e.g.TV and internet.

Since this is a peer to peer forum, we wouldn't know.

Turns out there is a charge.  My Triple-Play contract runs until May 2014 so if I cancel Digital Voice service now I'll be charged $220.  THe ETF decreases $5/mo.  

If I switch to a 3rd party VOIP provider I'll save abotu $30/mo so I'd be ahead of the game in 8 mos.  I should have asked if there would be any change to my remaining services.

I am surprised you would save $30 a month.  Mine in the Package is $25+5.05(taxes/fees).
