Is LNP available for a phone number coming from packet 8 as long as the phone number is valid for the rate area I'm in?

If you go to the www.verizon.com website and click get fios

enter your home address and click "want home service but want to keep my existing number"

Then enter your home number.  The next screen will tell you if you can port your number over to VZ.
