Landline Voicemail in Spanish but set to English

Hi! I have a friend that has Verizon landline service also and just recently when they check their voicemail it is in Spanish. They called Verizon and it is set as default being English even though it comes through in Spanish. Verizon has no idea how to help them at this point. Anyone have any idea? Thanks!!
