Landline

Please tell me how I can not have a dial tone on my landline and still have internet.  I want to cancel the landline and just have internet.  Verizon told me that was not possible.  Well it is have not had any home phone service in days which is not unusual.  They are to fix it on Monday.  Anyone else have straight internet service?

Some people have it but most don't   Most are legacy or businesses. These days its hard to get them to install just internet.
