Recently went back to Verizon FIOS but now they have digital phone service and I can't make outgoing calls. When I was with Verizon before it went digital, I had no problem dialing out. I had a service rep here and he checked all lines and everything was fine. He thought it was a compatibility problem with the digital and my phones. He discovered that I could make outgoing calls if I switched to pulse. He said I shouldn't have to do this. So, he had the service rebooted but after a couple successful outgoing calls, I had to put it back to pulse. Does anyone find they have to buy new digital phones? The service rep says I shouldn't have to.
