How do you get a long distance access code for New Jersey?

Realistically if they bill you for long distance calling the access code it should be written on your bill! or when you call and a representative answers the phone they should have access to this information (pun intended). This is the second day and I am again on hold for over an hour. Presently 1:22:37 and counting...

LD access code: NY to NJ 10-10-698 (10-10-NYT)

LD Access Code: NJ to NY 10-10-652 (10-10-NJB)

These access codes are what's known as Corridor Services.

Corridor services were permitted under the MFJ that broke up the Bell System, and are historicl in nature. In part, because at one time NYTel owned and operated in five NJ counties adjacent to NYC before NJ Bell was created. A similar arraingment exists between Camden NJ, and Philly, since Bell of PA also one owned cental offices in NJ prior to the creation on NJ Bell in the 1920's.

Corridor services don't send call sto an IXC (Long Distance Carrier) since in the 1984 world of Telecom, local TelCo's could not offer LD services.
