Looking for details on Long Distance Plans

We currently have home phone service through Verizon. Plan says "Local Area Unlimited Service". I am trying to add long distance to our plan but I can not find any details on the two plans offered. "Basic Rates" or "Verizon Five Cents Plan". The website does not provide any details and I can't find any info on google. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
