Main Mailbox access with sub mailboxes

I set up 2 sub mailboxes when I got the Digital Voice service a few days ago. It seems, however, that when I have sub mailboxes I can't get any messages in the mail mailbox.

For example, if the pharmacy calls with their automated system how will I get the message? Likewise the dr.'s office calls to remind me of an appointment. This automated service won't be able to select a sub mailbox.

Any ideas on how to have a main mailbox plus 2 sub mailboxes? Or does having sub mailboxes make the main mailbox inaccessible?
