I cannot say since I don’t work for Verizon. Normally if done once it use to be free.

i know on cellular it can be done from the web portal.

however always remember the number you get may have been one of those numbers all the scammers call constantly. You know cruise offers, your auto warranty has expired, we can lower your credit card rates etc. 

but it is a huge gamble.
