I can't make outgoing calls - went through troubleshooter, says its checking network - shows green status bar, then status bar goes away. it does not offer another screen to enter service request. Is there another way to make a service request on-line?
Did you try all the options here: Support page
Both the troubleshooter and support page lead you down the same path - to a page where it tells you its checking your line, green status bar appears then disappears when complete. While the message on the screen saying that its checking the line still appears. It turns out that we fried the base unit for our landline in a lightning storm the other night. It would be nice if when the support page completes the check on the line it returned a message saying no issues were detected.
im not able to make outgoing calls. They just dont connect. and my incoming calls go straight to voicemail
If you are using fios disconnect the battery and pull the power cord to the ONT. Wait about 15 seconds and plug them both back in and wait for the ont to boot back up. It should take no more then 5 minutes. Check your phone and see if it is now working correctly. If still doesn't work you will need to contact the Verizon Fiber Solutions Center at (800) VERIZON.
