No dial tone but DSL is working.

This is bizarre. We have no dial tone but our DSL is working. Called repair and they can not determine if the problem is on their end or ours. Need to send out a repair person 5 days from now. Any advice?

Do you have a spare DSL Filter that you can try with the phone ?

If not then you can plug a phone into your NID (With a DSL Filter) to isolate the house wiring from Verizon.

I you get dial tone then you the problem should be somewhere in your house.  If not then it sounds like a Verizon Issue.
