I've had Verizon phone and internet for years and for the most part no issues.
This summer the service has been awful. I have had my land line out at least 4 times.
The first time time the problem went between extreme line noise and no dial tone.
It took a week for the tech to finally get here. When the tech finally came out he worked
outside, and when he was leaving, my wife tried to tell him that there was still noise on
the line. He said it was fixed and he left.
I immediately had to open a second ticket, for another week out. A different tech came
out and resolved the issue. ( although looking back it was only temporary ).
About a month later with intermittent outages coming and going since the last ticket, It
got worst. Not only did we have line noise but also we now had a party line. We would
pick up the phone and hear people on the line, and they could hear us too. I opened
another ticket online, and true to form another week out, the tech comes out and this
time it seemed to be really fixed.
Now another month has passed and it rained outside overnight, and No phone line.
So I have to another ticket. And of course a tech won't come out for a week.
And the wierd thing about all these events is that my DSL is running over the same lines.
It has worked the entire time.
This has been extremely frustrating.
I guess it is about time to consider other options.
