Only one telephone jack in my home is working. How do I fix it

It depends on what's wrong. It could be a bad jack, incorrectly wired jack, bad wiring, or disconnected from the main terminal outside your house. Anything other than a bad cable is fairly easy, if you know how to connect it.
The first thing I would recommend is do an internet search for telephone wiring or go to your public library and get a self help book which will explain it. You can start with the link below. The pictures will be extremely helpful. Once you see how it is wired you can check the jacks and external connection. If that doesn't fix it, you will have to decide if you want to pay someone to fix it or attempt to trace the wiring yourself.
Many thanks Walt...I will check it out....
