How much money does Verizon waste every year sending out the new White Pages and Yellow Pages books.

Every year I get them delivered to my door, find the old ones, throw them away and replace them with the new ones.  Other than that the books are never touched.

Is Verizon aware of the fact that you can look up phone numbers on-line much faster.

Why not give customers a credit if they opt-out of getting the books?
