Phone Issues in 276 area code

Hi!  Those of us in Rose Hill, VA, are unable to call long distance or use our Verizon cell phones.  People from out of the area are also unable to call in.  Anyone else having issues?   Can you tell me what is going on and the timeframe for correction of the problem?
