Phone Service in NEdrow Area

Why does the phone service go out in the Nedrow, NY area 2-4 time a year. I'm out again. It is usually out for days. Usually the only way I ever get any results is to file a complaint with the PCS. Why do I pay for service when I can't depend on it.

I called in for service. I have no dialtone  at the demark. This means it is a Verizon issue. Verizon owns and is responsible to the demark. Also I know someone else in the neighborhood that has no phone either. This happen much too often. Every few months the phone dies.
