I just had fios installed a week ago, and the signal seems to be weak or something. Sometimes when i talk on the phone, the other persons voice fades slightly and comes back. Its almost like a wavery noise. I had comcast before fios and the signal was clear so i know its not the phone equipment. What is going on here? Would this be an issue with the ONT box? Thanks!
Hey madhatteras, your phone service with comcast was connected through your modem with verizon its connected through the phone wiring in the house. You can test with a corded phone at the ONT to see if you have the same issue at the test port for ONT. If the issue is not at the phone test port of the ONT then its the phone wiring or the phone jack causing the problem.
