Phone line come down in the snow - hazard to passers by

Just came home to find that what appears to be a phone line from our house to a main line serving other houses has fallen down and is hanging low enough to be dangerous for passers by. It looks to terminate in a grey Bell Atlantic box on the wall of our house. We don't have a land line phone service. We do have FiOS and that's connected via another wire that remains in place. Who do I need to contact to either have it removed or re-hung so it's not a danger please? Thanks!
