When I want to call a long distance number back that is in the Caller ID list, it always says I must dial a '1' first. Is there a way, I can set the phone up to always prepend a '1' to the number. Our cell phones do this with no problem.
Thanks,
Bemax

I really like your idea. What is the point of the redial or return call feature if it always tells you to dial 1 first? The system would need to know if the number was long distance from your local exchange. Not all customers have unlimited long distance on their voice plan. I believe most cell systems are now nationwide.

I have a few cordless phones in my house, that have that feature built in as an option IN THE PHONE...
On my corded phones I put a "local area code" that is not mine and that I never get calls from... now all calls on the CID have a 1 infront of them!
