My online bill only shows outgoing calls - online chat with Verizon support this morning told me that I need to get a Subpoena to see a list of the incoming calls - why would that be? Is there any other way to get a list of the calls I've received? THANKS!

Do you have FiOS Digital Voice (FDV)? You can view call logs for both incoming and outgoing calls online with FDV.
Good Luck.

I have Freedom Essentials - an old-school copper wire phone line - can't seen any incoming call logs - Verizon chat told me that I'd need a Subpoena to get the incoming call logs - what's up with that?

Ah, traditional phone service does not have call logs accessible to customers. It's a government regulated service and it's been that way forever (okay, really decades, but a very long time). Sorry.
