As of this morning, I am no longer able to make long distance calls from my landline phone here in Virginia. I confirmed with a Verizon rep that this was not a billing issue and they said they were going to send someone out to the house to fix it. However, that won't take place until September 6th. This, to me, seems unacceptable.
I have also heard rumors of a service outage in Virginia. Is this true? Is this what's affecting my service? I would really appreciate some answers.
Same thing here. Seems to have happened some time last night. No long distance, but works within the area code. Can't get to a Verizon rep; long wait due to heavy call volume. Verizon would do well to post periodic updates.
