I guess I was under the naive assumption that Verizon service for phone land lines was similar to say the power company, meaning that Verizon is responsible for service to the box on the side of ones building. The customer being responsible for service from said box to phone. Now I am being billed for "repair" to bring service to the box on the side of building, this I just don't understand. Basically I called repair because I had no service to the building, a repair person was "sent" and reported that the service was to the box so it should be billed. Please explain.
