Took out battery for phone backup

I was able to watch the video and take out the back up battery that was beeping, but I cannot do the final step to dislodge the clips so I can use for a new battery. The battery is comepletly out, but the red and (+ )and black (-) clips at ther termiinal with not come off.  The insstructions say to remove them, but not coming off and don't want to break them.

They are a little stiff, and may actually need to be pressed to unlock.  I don't know if its true for your BBU but for mine, the other end is a simple plugin that can be removed so you can take the battery and wire out of the unit, and then work on getting the wire to disconnect from the battery.
