How do I turn off voice mail?
I am a new customer and wondering the same thing. So far, I have used chatted for a solution and told to call tech support but, I have yet to get thru to them, seems you only get the run around. Am I ever sorry I signed on with Verizon. Had them years ago and left because of bad service, they have only got worst. It's going to be a long 2 yrs.
If you're turning it off so you can use a regular answering machine here's what I do -
I set the Verizon Voice Mail to answer at 6 rings (the max you can choose). You can get to those settings in My Verizon.
Then I set my answering machine to answer in 5 rings.
Calls that come in while you're on the phone will still go to Verizon voice mail.
You can turn it off completely by calling customer service and requesting it.
Hope this helps!
