Voice Mail Initial Setup

What is the phone number to dial for INITIAL voice mail setup?  I tried our new number from the actual home phonewith no luck (with 7 digits a message said to dial the area code and with 10 digits we get a busy signal).  Is there a different number for voice mail other than the home phone number?  Thanks.

Please disregard - I read the instructions found in my new email and guess what?  The phone number I needed.
