Switched over from Comcast to Verizon recently and some of my phone features no longer seem to work. Specifically:
- when I have voicemails the indicator light on my phone no longer flashes. I still get the stutter tone when I pick up the phone, but it's pretty useless without a visual indication that I've got messages waiting.
- when I'm on the phone and someone else tries to call me, I get a beep on the handset but no Caller ID notification of who's trying to call. I think this is called Call Waiting ID.
Are these features that need to be enabled somewhere? Seems like this stuff should just work.
Thanks for any help,
Jerry

Yes. Go to My Verizon, under the menu on the left side (uner "I Want To...") select "My Services." Scroll down to FIOS Digiatal Voice and select "Voice Management." You will be able to enable and configure the various options.

Not automatically. Some customers don't want every feature enabled. So they leave it up to the individual user to decide whcih features they do or do not want.
