You have to show up to check my phone line when its not working,right???

So my phone does't have a dail tone,even at the nid,and I can't make or recieve calls. Then for some reason the phone will work again. Call for tech and 4 days later he shows up and of course its working then. Can't find a problem when it's working I am told.He leaves and I find out later the same day it is out again. Another call I make and they can't check it for another 5 days. I call back and tell them I receive customer calls for work that I am now missing, plus I can't call to check up on my elderly stepmother. Mabey they will show up to check line 1 day earlier they tell me. In the last 10 days, I have had a working phone for three.Wonder if they will credit me on my bill?
