accessing voicemail overseas

with the Fios digital voice service there is a toll free number to access your voicemail. this toll free number will not work overseas. I have not been able find a direct dial (toll) number to use instead. So far the Verizon reps have not been able to help

answering my question, dial your home phone and press * when the voicemail system answers, you will then be prompted for your passcode and be able to retrieve your messages.
