Can i diconnect my phone service without disconnecting my internet

Depends upon several things.

If you use dial up to get on the Internet, the obvious answer is no.

If you have DSL service, the answer is maybe. Depends upon whether or not Verizon supports 'dry loop' service in your area. You would have to call Verizon and ask.

If you have FiOS, unless you have a time commitment with your FiOS service that is unexpired, the answer is yes, although if you have 'bundled pricing', that will go away when you 'break up' the bundle
