fios phone backup

I have had FIOS internet for a while and have a battery backup for it. I recently converted my landline from copper wire to FIOS. Do I need another backup for the phone  in addition to the one I have for the internet?

If you have a battery in you BBU (they tend not to include them in many areas now a days) then you have 6-8 hour backup for your phone line in a power failure.

I chose to have a base phone that works when power is out(assuming line is working).  It is actually the base station for the rest of the houses wireless phones.  Its not on battery backup.

These days most people tend to backup their FIOS phone with a Cell Phone.
