incoming caller id displays number not name

When I had landline service from another provider, the incoming caller id displayed the name of the person calling (whether it was an incoming land line or cell phone).  With Fios, only the phone number is displayed.  Why?  How do I configure this to display incoming names?

I don't know about your service, but for my Verizon phone service (now Frontier) it has always been that some numbers show full name, some just a city and some just the number.  You don't need to do anything special to enable the display of name.
