Verizon forced us to change to new wiring for our landline. They sent unprofessional subcontractors to our home to complete some of the work that resulted in police intervention. They lied that our monthly charges would decrease by at least ten dollars. Instead, the current bill as an increase in the following: VA Communications Sales Tax. VA Public Rights-of-Way Use Fee, and Federal Universal Service Fee. Also, the monthly charges have not increased at all. Again, they lied!!!

Verizon has nothing to do with taxes, be they state or local or federally mandated.
you state the phone bill is the same, so call up your states taxing authority and complain. In this case verizon is blameless.
