my verizon phone shows up on google search??

i make every effort to insure my privacy and now i find that my verizon fios home phone shows up on google search...along with all of my information???

Do you mean you pay for an unlisted number and it still shows up in searches?  Mary

If a number was every published in a phone book then it can be listed in a google search. I remember many years ago I heard about that so I removed my number from a google search.  Doesn't mean reverse number look up won't work but at least it prevents a google search.  And at the time my number was listed I did NOT have verizon.

That's why I was wondering because I thought if you paid for an unlisted number then you can' not be found in an internet search.  I have friends with unlisted numbers and they don't show up at all.  If you are listed in your local phone book then you will show up online.   We dropped the verizon landline a few years ago and had the number of 20yrs ported to my verizon cell.  A few months aftrer that we were no long found in internet searches and are not in the phone book any more.  I am sure I could call and gert us relisted but I don't bother.  Mary
