How do I find phone numbers dialed in and out from my home? The old paper bill had it right there.

You can still get copies of your "paper" bill.  However I haven't seen all the calls listed on paper bills for years on any of the offerings with unlimited calls.  Note Fios Digital Voice does give you a way to see all your calls.

I've tried on numerous occasions to check the calls made and received on the Verizon website.  Each time that I input my user name and password, it gives me an error message and simply denies access.  Does anyone know how I can access this information on the website?

Do you have FiOS and FiOS Digital Voice? That is the only way I know of getting call logs. I have been a Verizon customer for years and never received reports unless they were for long distance calls I had placed. If you have Fios Digital Voice, try registering here.
