When my copper line phone quit working on sunday 9-1-14 I tried finding out why and after talking to the verizon repair number and going through my house checking the connections on the jacks and not having any change in the "open line condition" we recieved a autommated message on the phone thursday it was the frist time it had rang all week and was asked that if the phone seemed to be working properly to press 1 which is what we did. the phone is now working buyut we lost 5 days of use of our land line. We recieved an E mail from verizon asking for feed back on their service and low and behold the link that was in the E mail they sent did not work time and time again i suppose we are all happy customer s and they like it like that just fine

You need to contact the billing department to receive a credit for the time your service was not functioning.
