I am switching phone service to XFinity and they are having an issue with getting my number ported to them from Verizon.
Can someone please help get this taken care of?

This is a customer helping customer forum June, no help from here.
once you give the number to the receiving provider it’s their job to port in.
You must make sure to give your full phone number from your invoice as well as any account pin you have with Verizon to get it successfully ported out from Verizon.
there are federal laws governing porting. http://www.fcc.gov
you can find the information there.

They have been trying to port it since June 7th and csaid they are having some issues with Verizon releasing it.

Many times a home phone line takes time especially if there are issues. See the link

It tells you where to submit your complaint.
When I ported a Verizon landline to nother provider it took about 30 days to complete the process.
