service out since 8am monday

my mothers phone service has been copletely out since 9am monday morning. Verizon customer service sucks!! Ive called three times and each time I was told the tech is on his way. No call No show!!  My mother has been with this company for over 45 years,when it was Bell Telephone but I will def tell her to drop verizon and get Comcast. Every call to verizon cutomer service ends with a lie.
