static in phones

I had FIOS installed and all phones now had static. Tested phone at outside box - no static. Bought all new phones - still have static. Called Verizon, told $91 to have a technician come out. I had no static with Comcast. Every room cannot need new wiring as the help page says. Only chance I have is to switch phone back to Comcast. Anyone else have a solution? I cannot hear on the 4 phones. Three are cordless and one is corded.

first thing to do whenever cordless phones are involved is to unplug ( from Power ANDfrom Phone jack ) ALL of the cordless phones and try to use a regular corded phone

9 times out of 10, the problem is the actual phones getting interferance from other things... like tvs, radios, speakers, .... things that generate noise

As previous response states, try unplugging all but 1 corded phone and try it in each jack. You may find they static returns in 1 jack. Verizon offers IWMP inside wire mntc program that covers your inside wires and worth it if your home ever gets struck by lightning or just need jacks replaced.

If you have just recently switched (30 days?), there is no charge for this.  When was your installation date? Does static happen all the time or just certain times of the day?

Thanks for the suggestions, I will try them all. FIOS installed in June but we were away in July. We won;t make the 30 days but should have - had we been home.

Unplugged all cordless phones and plugged in corded phone. Static persists in all phone jacks on 2 floors of my home. The static is present all the time. FIOS installed June 20th. I was on vacation for 2 weeks when the 30 daya period ran out. Find it hard to believe that the wiring in four rooms just went all at once. Bought new phones when the old ones were only 10 months old. Paying a tech to visit home seems very unfair.
