suspend service on home line

I can't seem to get a straight answer. I want to suspend my home phone over the winter while I snow bird in Fla. Can this be done without totally disconnecting or must I  pay for basic service? A Fla. friend said he did it for about $1-$2 monthly but nobody seems to know about this.

Hi, yes you can do this. It is called a vacation hold or a vacation suspend.  What it will cost I have no idea. You need to speak to the orders department for pricing and procedures.
