today my voicemail light would not stop flashing even though I had deleted all messages.  I held for 10 minute with support who reset the voicemail twice.  They had me unplug the phone and line to no avail.  They finally said my phone was bad.  As a software consultant I know how everyone always wants to "blame the hardware".  I finally googled the issue and found others who had this problem.  they recommended that I leave myself a voicemail and then delete it.  This solved the problem.  How lazy is it of Verizon support that they could have done the same thing!  we are paying them outrageous amounts per month yet their support seems to be worthless.  Guess I wont waste anymore time on hold and as soon as Comcast is available here they are history!
